Welcome. I’m glad you’re here.

My name is Enrique Arellano Farias, and I’ve spent much of my life exploring what it means to heal, to grow, and to feel truly met by another person — first as a matter of my own experience, and for many years now, as a therapist.

I was born in Mexico in 1967, into a family woven from Spanish, Mexican, and Greek roots, and I’ve lived in Europe since 1986. I speak five languages fluently, and I offer therapy in English, Spanish, French, or Italian — whichever one feels most like home to you. Moving between cultures and languages for most of my life has taught me to listen for what sits beneath words: the feeling, the history, the person.

That’s really how I see the people I work with — not as symptoms to be managed or problems to be solved, but as whole human beings who already carry within them the wisdom and capacity to heal. My work isn’t to fix you. It’s to walk alongside you, patiently and steadily, while you reconnect with that wholeness yourself. I believe real change happens inside a relationship — one safe and steady enough that you can finally stop bracing, and simply be yourself. Building that kind of trust with each person I work with is, to me, the real foundation of therapy, and I offer both mid-term and long-term work for those who choose to walk this path with me.

I pay close attention to the body — the felt sense underneath our thoughts — and to the ebb and flow of emotion, because I believe emotion isn’t something to get past, but the very energy that lets us grow, connect, and change. I also bring a Polyvagal-informed lens to my work, helping people understand how their nervous system reads safety and threat, so they can find steadier ground in daily life. Above all, I try to be genuinely present with you — attentive, responsive, and human — because I’ve found that experience, not just insight, is what allows people to truly heal.

This way of working has been shaped by training and mentorship I’m deeply grateful for, at institutions including The Open University, The AEDP Institute, CIL, BBSH, Istituto di Core Energetica, The IFS Institute, the Center for Intentional Living, the Mindsight Institute, the Psychomotor Institute, and Deep Brain Reorienting, where I’ve developed my grounding in body psychotherapy, trauma and dissociation, and trauma-informed care. I’m also trained to facilitate the Circle of Security Parenting Program (Copenhagen, 2015) and Cultivating Emotional Balance (Sydney, 2015). I’m a proud member of several European professional associations, including the EABP, ESTD, and BPS.

Thank you for taking the time to be here. If any of this resonates, I’d be glad to talk — and to support you on your own journey toward healing and growth.

“We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly. We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present. We are made up of layers, cells, constellations.”

― Anais Nin

I have been in Supervised Clinical Practice for +25 years.

My work is underpinned by three pillars: ongoing personal therapy, supervision of my cases, and a commitment to continuing my professional development. For the past 25 years, I’ve been a client in my own therapy, received ongoing supervision, and continued training without pause — including direct study with some of the field’s most respected teachers, among them Stephen Porges, Deb Dana, Diana Fosha, Ruth Lanius, Frank Corrigan and Richard Schwartz. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from The Open University, and I’m currently completing an MSc in Mental Health Science there. In 2004, I founded the Four Cycles Institute, where I train other clinician
